Dashboard

The Dashboard is the home screen of the Family Portal. It loads when you log in and gives you an at-a-glance view of all required actions, form progress across family members, and any pending invitations.

Stats Cards

Four summary cards appear at the top of the page:

Card Description
Total Forms Total number of forms across all family members and sessions
Required Forms Remaining Number of required forms not yet submitted
Rejected Forms Forms that were reviewed and rejected — action needed
Overdue Forms Required forms whose deadline has passed today

Actions Section

The Actions section appears only when there is something requiring your attention. The badge on the section header shows the total number of items.

Pending Invitations

If you have one or more invitations waiting to be accepted, a Pending Invitations card appears at the top of the Actions section. It shows:

  • The number of pending invitations as a badge
  • A description: "You have N event invitation(s) to accept"
  • A View button that navigates to the Invitation Wizard

Click anywhere on the card or the View button to go accept the invitation.

Required Form Action Cards

Each required form that still needs to be submitted appears as its own action card. Each card shows:

  • Form name
  • Status badges (Rejected in red if applicable; Required in red outline)
  • Family member name and session name
  • Due date (shown in red if the deadline is within 7 days)
  • An action button: Fill Out (pencil icon) or Upload (arrow-up icon)

Click Fill Out or Upload to go directly to that form's submission wizard.

Card styles:

  • Red border — form has been rejected
  • Yellow/urgent border — deadline is within 7 days
  • Default — form is pending with no urgency

Family Members Section

The Family Members section shows a card for each family member linked to your account. Cards are sorted by urgency: members with rejected forms or overdue deadlines appear first.

Member Card Content

Each card shows:

  • Name at the top
  • Action Needed badge (red) if any forms have been rejected
  • Next Session label with the upcoming event name and organization
  • Session start and end dates
  • "+N more upcoming sessions" if there are additional sessions beyond the one shown
  • A progress bar: "N of M forms" with percentage (green bar when all required forms are complete, blue animated otherwise)
  • "N of M optional forms" if the session has only optional forms
  • "No upcoming events" if the member has no upcoming sessions
  • A View Details link at the bottom

Click anywhere on the card to go to that family member's profile page.

Card Colors

Card Style Meaning
Red/danger border Member has rejected forms or an overdue deadline
Blue/pending border Member has required forms not yet submitted
Green/success border All required forms are submitted
No border Member has no active sessions

Empty State

If no family members have been linked to your account, the section shows:

"No Family Members have been added"

with an Add First Family Member button that navigates to the Invitation Wizard.

Common Issues

My dashboard shows "Overdue Forms" but I submitted everything

Check whether your forms were submitted successfully. A form that was submitted but then rejected still counts as needing action. Look at the Actions section or click a family member's card to review individual form statuses.

I see a "Pending Invitations" action card but I already accepted the invitation

Reload the page. If the card still appears, go to the Invitation Wizard and check whether all invitations have been processed. Contact https://support.healthforms.io if the issue persists.

A family member I expect to see isn't on the dashboard

Their invitation may not have been accepted yet. Check the Invitations section in the side panel, or use the Invitation Wizard to accept their invitation.

Q&A

Q: What is on the dashboard? A: The dashboard shows four stat cards (Total Forms, Required Forms Remaining, Rejected Forms, Overdue Forms), an Actions section listing any forms that need attention or pending invitations, and a Family Members section showing all linked members with their session and form progress.

Q: How do I know which forms still need to be submitted? A: Look at the "Actions" section on the dashboard. Each required form that hasn't been submitted appears as an action card with a "Fill Out" or "Upload" button. The "Required Forms Remaining" stat card at the top also gives a total count.

Q: Why does a form card show as "Rejected"? A: The organization reviewed a form you submitted and rejected it — possibly because the form was incomplete, illegible, or expired. Click the action card's button to resubmit the corrected form.

Q: What does the progress bar on a family member's card mean? A: The progress bar shows how many of the member's required forms have been submitted for their next upcoming session. When the bar is fully green, all required forms are complete.
