  • HTTPS/SSL encryption for all connections
  • Password encryption (bcrypt hashing)
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra security
  • Regular security updates
  • Audit logging of all access

See Security Overview for more details.

Q: Should I use two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Yes, absolutely. 2FA adds an extra layer of security and is highly recommended. It only takes a few minutes to set up.

See MFA Setup Guide for steps.

Q: What happens to my data?

Your data is:

  • Encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
  • Encrypted at rest (in database)
  • Stored securely in encrypted cloud storage
  • Protected by industry-standard security measures
  • Only accessible to authorized staff

Your organization's privacy policy governs how your specific data is used.

Passwords & Security

Q: What makes a strong password?

A strong password:

  • Is at least 8 characters (12+ is better)
  • Contains uppercase letters (A-Z)
  • Contains lowercase letters (a-z)
  • Contains numbers (0-9)
  • Contains special characters (!@#$%^&*)
  • Is unique (not used on other sites)

Rather than copy an example, create your own — a long passphrase with mixed case, a number, and a symbol, or one generated by a password manager.

Q: Should I use the same password everywhere?

No. If one site gets hacked, all accounts with that password are at risk. Use a password manager to keep different passwords for each site.

Q: How often should I change my password?

Best practice is every 90 days, or immediately if you suspect compromise. Use a strong password and enable 2FA for maximum security.

Q: What's a password manager?

A password manager safely stores encrypted passwords so you only remember one main password. Popular options:

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Q: What is 2FA/MFA?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) requires two pieces of information to log in:

  1. Your password
  2. A code from your phone (from an app or text message)

This makes your account much harder to hack.

Q: Do I have to use 2FA?

It depends on your organization. Check your account settings to see if it's mandatory or optional. If required, you'll be prompted on your next login.

Q: What authenticator app should I use?

Any of these work:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Authy
  • 1Password
  • LastPass Authenticator

They all work the same way - choose what's convenient for you.

Q: What if I lose my phone?

Use your backup codes (recovery codes) saved when you set up 2FA. Save them somewhere safe like a password manager. If you don't have them, contact support.

Q: Can I use 2FA on multiple devices?

Yes, but you'll need to set it up separately on each device. Your 2FA codes work across all devices.

  • Chrome 90+
